Model consistency

Virtual try on starts with consistent references.

Keep person, garment, pose and visual style in separate reference slots. Prepare a clear virtual try-on brief, then compare identity and clothing details without mixing their roles.

What to bring

Give each reference one job.

Person

A clear identity reference with an unobscured face.

Product

Garment front, back and important fabric details.

Style

A separate pose or lighting reference.

A ready-to-edit starting point

Your workflow brief.

This brief opens with the reference board. Adjust it for your actual images and intended output.

Virtual try-on brief: preserve the identity from the person reference. Use the garment reference for silhouette, fabric and details, and the pose reference only for body position. Do not infer sizing or fit from a concept image.

Separate identity from pose and styling

One photograph can accidentally ask for too many things at once. A person reference should establish the identity you intend to keep. A pose reference supplies body position and framing. Styling decisions such as lighting or background belong in a third reference so they do not overwrite the first two.

  • Use images you have permission to work with.
  • Choose clear, well-lit faces rather than tiny crops.
  • Write down which reference controls identity and which controls pose.

Make clothing details easy to compare

A useful garment reference shows construction, not only mood. Necklines, cuffs, seams, closures, prints and fabric texture are the details that distinguish one item from another. Collect close-ups alongside a full view so a reviewer can trace each choice back to a source.

  • Add front and back photographs when both matter.
  • Keep patterned fabric and logos at a readable resolution.
  • Use the reference labels to avoid confusing the garment with the model.

Review visual consistency, not promised fit

Use the person and garment references to request an appearance concept in Generate. Nano Banana 2 and Pro support reference-led editing, but neither locks identity or simulates garment fit. Review face details, hands, pattern placement and garment construction against the source in every result.

  • Review face, hair and visible accessories together.
  • Compare pattern placement and garment length against the product image.
  • Treat sizing and fit as a separate measurement problem.

Workflow questions

Model consistency questions

Does this editor currently dress a model with AI?

You can request a clothing concept with person and garment references through Nano Banana 2 or Pro. It is a generative image edit, not a fit prediction, body measurement or guarantee that identity and garment details remain exact.

Can I keep the same person across several boards?

Reuse the same person reference for each request and compare results at full size. Nano Banana can use that reference, but exact facial identity and garment construction are not guaranteed.

Can the preview predict garment fit?

No. It is a visual planning workspace, not a size recommendation or body measurement service.
