Image editing tools: choose the operation first.

Use this guide to separate the editing operations available in the workspace from dedicated tools that are still planned. AI reference editing, manual composition and image export solve different parts of an image-production task.

Planned tools: preparation guides

Available now: generate from a clear edit brief.

The Generate panel creates a new image or requests a change using the selected references. Choose Seedream 5 Pro, Nano Banana 2, Nano Banana Pro or GPT Image, review the available size and detail settings, then confirm processing. The result is saved as a new asset. It does not overwrite the source photograph or automatically replace a canvas layer.

  • Assign product, person, style and background roles to references.
  • Respect the chosen model’s reference limit; the project retains all of its slots.
  • Use GPT Image when requesting a transparent PNG; other model controls differ.
  • Compare labels, faces and geometry after every generative edit.

Available now: compose, adjust and export.

Add images to the canvas, move and resize them, arrange layers and add editable text or shapes. Use the existing adjustment controls for manual image changes. Undo and redo help review composition choices. The shared project stores assets and canvas edits, while editing or viewing links control how another person can participate.

  • Keep campaign copy editable instead of baking every word into a generated image.
  • Use layers to arrange multiple assets without changing their original files.
  • Export the actual composition as PNG or JPG.
  • A larger export scales the canvas; it does not recover detail through AI upscaling.

Planned tools have their own preparation guides.

Dedicated image upscaling and object removal are not connected as standalone operations. Their guides help you choose a source image, describe the target and define the review checks. They do not run an upscaler or a pixel-mask removal task. These guides remain outside the search sitemap until their specific functions are implemented and verified.

  • Upscaling preparation: keep the highest-quality original and identify the detail to review.
  • Object-removal preparation: identify the item to remove and the surrounding surface to preserve.
  • General prompt-led edits can alter other parts of an image.
  • Precise masks and protected surrounding pixels are not promised by the current editor.

Tools questions

Can I use an object remover or an AI upscaler here today?

The dedicated tools are planned. You can prepare references, make general AI edit requests, compose on the canvas and export, but there is no separately verified object-removal or AI-upscaling operation.

Will a generation timeout create another paid request?

The editor saves the request and checks its existing status. It does not automatically submit a replacement generation. If confirmation is needed, use Check existing request and keep the original references and canvas.
